Sedona

We were in Sedona a couple years ago and did the pink jeep tour. It was great-you won't be sorry. Also do the trolly tour of sedona-really shows you great parts of Sedona.

Yes...take the broken arrow tour. You will not be disappointed.

Best time of day?

Is there a better time of day to do the jeep tour? For example...morning or last tour of the day for sunsets?

The Jeep tours are truly special. You do some 'real' Four-Wheelin' with an experienced driver, complete with commentary in specially modified vehicles.

Another especially interesting thing we did at Sedona was go sky-watching with an astronomer far away from any city lights. He brought telescopes and iirc, guaranteed we'd see at least 6-8 celestial objects. www.eveningskytours.com

Enjoy!

We're doing the Broken Arrow tour in two weeks, midday. We were told that pretty much any time there is sun, it is beautiful, so we didn't worry much about the time of day we were scheduled.

When will you be there . . . I'll report back if you're going after we're there (3/28).

I have done many jeep tours here in Sedona. It's not just a tourist thing. The best by far IMO is the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour. The best time of day is the time that suits your schedule. Don't worry about sunrise vs sunset or anything else. Just do it.

I love Sedona . It is so magical!! We've done the Pink Jeep Tour twice, great both times. Have any of you ever gone to see Robert Shields Gallery? I love his work because it is so quirky and colorful. I've bought so much stuff from him over the last couple of years that he told me next time I go to Sedona he would be glad to meet me. If you don't buy originals you can pick up some great souvenirs. Shaggy

Robert Shields closed his galleries in Sedona about 2 years ago. His work is still available through dealers and galleries around the southwest, but he no longer has any stores of his own. He still resides in Sedona and he has resumed doing his stage shows. I have also collected a large amount of his art work. I probably have abount 50 items in my home from sculptures and statues to paintings and metal work. I saw him about a month ago at a charity event that we both attended.

Shout out to Red Rox

Hey . . . you are one of the best all around travel guys on the net! I see your posts over on T/A as well as here on TUG and you're always willing to help your fellow travelers with valuable information!

Thank you!

 Yvonne, You've been around too! And you've written quite a few reports. We've been to many of the same places too. And believe it or not, I lived in Milwaukee for 3 years from 1974-1976.
