If you are a Delta or Northwest customer upset with some of the recent changes like the three-tier award chart and have elite status there, both Continental and United will do a complimentary status match. Here are the details: www.dlsucks.com/nwaseis.pdf

It is being reported that American, which usually only does a challenge rather than a complimentary match, is now also doing matches for some DL and NW refugees.

Thanks so much for this information, I would love to have that status match!

One simply requests....that's it? Easy as that?

Yeah. I faxed the copies of my statement and elite card from NW, and in a few days, my new CO status was reflected online on my CO account.

Just wanted to thank you for providing me this information - to be honest I almost hadn't given it another thought, but then United called me to change my flights and that's when I remembered.

So - requested it fo all of us and receveived the status matches within 24 hours!
