I recommend that you stay in a timeshare.

Stay in your bathing suit unless you go to Orient Beach.

Recommend Club Orient...cuts down on the luggage and dirty laundry

But if that's not your style, we've also stayed at the DIVI resort near Phillipsburg. A nice place away from the hustle and bustle.

I suspect most of us St. Martin travelers don't know how to answer your question without more information about what you're looking for in your vacation, any special needs you might have, etc.

We own at Divi and really like the resort because it's got a nice beach and a more private location we enjoy. Others love the energy of staying in the Maho area, but I like to go there for restaurants not to stay, and some people like the Dawn Beach area, but that seems less convenient for us. Divi is just finishing a renovation of their units, which will greatly improve their quality. They are also re-doing their new landscaping and redoing the one pool area after damage from Hurricane Omar. In fact, I think this may all be done by now.

i have a 3 and 5 yr old so looking for nice beaches with activities for them and nice pool. don't really need a lot of bar and night life but some activity is good. We enjoyed cabo . We went with my mom and stepfather and they will be going here as well, so it is nice to go out 1 night without kids but not looking to party every night.

Divi Little bay would be a great choice.
