Price line
When you bid on priceline you agree to go from 7am-10pm. Is that right. So when you bid for airfares, is there a way to designate a time range like hotwire used to do, ie, morning, afternoon, n ight? W/hat I hate about this is you can get 6-7am flights coming and going!

Looks like it's actually 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, if you are going to bid on the flight. They also can serve as a "normal" travel agent where you can choose your flights.

No, you can't select the time and that's why we don't use priceline for airfare.

I do not use Priceline for airfares, either.
You might get a 5 hour layover (or more). I have used Priceline for hotels (successfully), and would consider rental cars---but not for flights. JMHO |

I agree with the other posters. I've used Priceline for hotels and rental cars. Won't use them for airfare.

Accoridng to priceline, "Domestic travel: Connection times for domestic travel can be up to 3 hours, depending on the best available routing." Still, I often use priceline for hotels but have never done so for airfare. -- Suzanne

I try PL for airfare occasionally, perhaps five times total in more than ten years of using PL. I've obtained one ticket.
Most of the time I don't consider PL because the inability to specify morning or evening creates too much variability. If I could just specify morning or afternoon/evening for flight times I would at least try bidding more often. The few times I have bid in all cases my rejected bids were sufficiently close to the published fares that there wasn't any value to me in continuing to bid on PL. I do use PL extensively for hotels. I also use PL for cars, though not as frequently as I do for hotels.

I agree with all of you, thanks. Priceline just isn't a good deal for airfare.
