Do you get nervous when pressing the purchase button on airfare?

I always get nervous and excited when purchasing airline tickets or using rewards. The anticipation of hitting the button and making it final.

I booked our travel for Harborside yesterday. :cheer:

Anybody else?

Only Every Single Time! But mine is for a slightly different reason. I figure as soon as I push that button I'll bump into cheaper price in just a couple minutes. LOL

That is my problem also. I actually looked today and both airlines we booked with had went up. So that makes me feel better.

Now if I can keep from looking anymore, I'll be good. :hysterical:

I booked for my trip to Villages a couple months ago. Checked yesterday and the price is now about what I paid then...but then to get a decent price I had to book an overnight red eye flight. People booking now can actually get there at a decent hour. That's OK though-it's all good :clap:

I torture myself with this all the time too. I booked a flight to Harborside & now it is down $20 per person!!

Sue, don't feel bad!! My flights now cost $320 less than when I booked them. I was so disappointed I had lost that amont of $$. But, on the other hand, we are at least able to travel and enjoy time with our family.

I was nervous last night cancelling my son's flight online. I ended up calling NWest to make sure I didn't inadvertently cancel the rest of our family's flights(we have flights to HNL using the lowest FF points possible). All went well, $100 penalty fee later!:annoyed: Now, on to booking him a later flight.

This is the secret - watch it like a hawk and be ready to commit when it hits your price. Then don't look back, quit searching, and look forward to your vacation. If you keep checking prices and they go down....you are only torturing yourself!

AND.....

when it goes down $320 - call the airlines and reticket! $100-150 per ticket change fee is worth it for $320!

I promise you that in the years ahead, all we remember is the great vacation. If we paid a few bucks more than rock bottom, it never seems to matter.

if it is with jetblue they will credit your account with the difference. just call them.

our trip to the bahamas started out at $239 one way and $179 the other. it is now $134 and $88 all that money times 7 people is in my account for next years flights. one way was free for 6 of us so the $88 is for 1 person.

We purchased tickets to the Bahamas 2yrs ago & before the trip they went down $137 each. US Air gave us vouchers in that amount to be used on a future flight with in a year. We used them to go to Florida.

Most airlines will give you the difference minus $100 change fee per ticket as credits for future flights BUT only if you book directly with the airline. If it is through a travel web site (ie. expedia, travelocity, etc) then your only recourse is with them, not the airline. For $220 (320-100) for a few people it sure would be worth the time to call! If only that was possible. I booked my flights with allegiant.. they have a no refund policy regardless if the flights drop price. But, even if I had booked with another airline, it would have costs us more.

What is sad is this - I get such an adrenaline rush that I imagine it must be what a drug addict gets when they get a fix. Oh brother...
