Marriott Grande Ocean - Hilton Head
We took a detour over to Hilton Head and MGO after our cruise last week, and I took a few photos. I purchased MGO last summer off Ebay, sight unseen, so I was really excited to see how nice the property is and the renovations I had read about. If you would like to see photos, send me your email address!

I don't suspect you got to look at the interiors . . . it only gets better!

Too bad BeachPlace HOA didn't look at Grande Ocean
I surely wish the HOA at BeachPlace took a look at what Grande Ocean did for their reno - first class. BeachPlace, on the other hand, was nothing more than a clean up with new soft goods and 2 little granite countertops -- even the old pictures, appliances and tables stayed. A good HOA can make a super difference.

pwrshift,
I agree with you. Saving money on a renovation can really bring a resort down. It may please the owners that it is cheaper at the time but in the long run you end up with a tired resort that will be more expensive to spruce up later. I have seen this happen before but thought it didn't usually happen with Marriotts- too bad for Beachplace. The board may regret this later. tlwmkw |

I hope the people who started the thread about the Aruba Ocean Club reads this. I own at the Ocean Club and stayed at Grand Ocean last May and the rooms were great. Much better than the Ocean club. I believe one of the
posts mentioned that they did not think the bathrooms needed redone at the Ocean Club. After staying at Grand Ocean and the Grand Chateau in Vegas last Christmas, I would disagree. We actually stayed in the Royal Turn building on the third floor and I don't know how they could label any of those rooms as Oceanside. We had a beautifull view of a tree and the lagoon. |

Can you post a few here? Or put them up on a site so we can all see?
