Could someone please tell me the best place to buy groceries in South Lake Tahoe? We will be there end of May.

There are 2 Safeways - one near the Y (intersection of CA-50 and CA-89), and the other across the street from WorldMark Southshore, near Elks Point Road.

Wife likes Raleys in Lake Tahoe and most times we stop and she shops before we go on up to the Ridge Tahoe.
Many times we just have resort put small list of grocery's in the room for us and she does major shopping next day in Carson City at Save Mart. Its last large grocery store leaving Carson City and 20 minutes from the Ridge.
Since every trip up we always go to Carson City or Reno its no problem shopping there and prices good.
We found after all the trips up that there is a small chance the room is not ready and since we always go up July 4th week it can get hot in the car with your grocery just sitting there!
