We have a few days books in Aug. for our 20th Annyiversay. Has anyone stayed here rescently? I read mixed reviews. Have a 2 bedroom in Aug and we also have a second booking in Sept. for studio.

Thanks

I am an owner there. I love the resort. We were not there last summer since we had just moved to Atlanta. I was there the summer of 07. The units were in nice shape. They have a number of activities during the week. The location is great. The beach is right across the street. It is a nice beach but very crowded on the weekends. During the week is is very empty. A number of nice places to eat within walking distance. You will love it. I can hardly wait to move back to California to go back.

We love it there and go practically every year. They have been remodeling the kichen areas. You will really enjoy the resort and the area.

been there about three times in the past 1 1/2 yrs. Resort is ok - nothing spectacular (definitely not a Marriott or Westin- but good location). Seek out the winery(s) in the area, check out SLO town, enjoy a stroll (or) two along the beach (thought maybe windy?), consider Salvang (or is it Solvang?), Santa Barbara is a short 1 1/2 hrs away... Check out Fat Cats for breakfast, Woodstocks Pizza in SLO town if you like pizza w/ decent dough (yummy). Farmers Market on Thursday nights is a good experience..

We are owner there and love the location and the resort! We were there in March and were pleasantly surprised. The resort is going through a complete renovation. The reception area has been completely remodeled and looks great! The studios were in the process of being completely remodeled. Mr. Banks the manager was kind enough to show us one of the remodeled studios which was very nicely done. Full kitchens were added a couple of years ago. The imperial units are also going through a complete remodel. We own one of the 1 bedroom units in the in the newer section and although smaller than the imperials it is also very nice. I think you'll be very happy there. The beach is wonderful, the village is cute and there's a lot to see and do within driving distance of the resort.

The imperials are in the older section and have one bedroom. The 2 bedrooms in the newer section is the one bedroom with a small efficiency lock off. I'm not sure if the older section has 2 bedroom units. You might want to call San Luis Bay Inn and ask. When and if you call make sure and request a room with an unobstructive ocean view. I think your best bet is on the 2nd or fifth floor.

Called the resort and was told I need to call Diamond Resorts to request since I booked this with our points. Last time I made a request from them it wasn't honored, so maybe I'll be better off asking upon arrival.
