I am needing to rent some of my time. [specifics deleted] What is the best way for me to find renters at these places or any other Wyndham? I also have 2 weeks available through RCI I'd like to rent. Help!

There are two schools of thought.

One is to advertise that you have points available at a certain rate per thousand or something similar. You can also ask the renter to reimburse for any transaction/guest fees, etc. Then, people looking for something in particular can ask you to check availability.

The other is to try to idnetify a very high-value week that you can book speculatively and then market.

Nothing prevents you from booking a high-value week, marketing that, and also advertising "points availalbe", but that might generate some extra fees unless you are VIP or have transactions available.

As a TUG member, you can advertise for free here at TUG's marketplace, and the Wyndham Owners' forum also has an area to list rentals---both pionts and booked time. Here's some more advice to consider:

I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that Wyndham will no longer allow transfer of 'rented' FSP points between members. So a person who wants to gain points can only buy from Wyndham at their price.

So I believe the only avenue for your excess points (apart from depositing points into the point credit pool before the year starts or into RCI Weeks at any time before they expire) is to book a week, advertise it for rent on Redweek, TUG and the like, and get a guest certificate for your renter after you get paid.

As to what week to reserve to rent out, you surely can reserve your home resort since you're an owner there (and ARP is available too). I'm not sure of the legality of booking a points week elsewhere and obtaining a guest certificate for a stranger.

If the weeks available thru RCI are exchanges (banked deposits and then you paid an exchange fee to book it), you are NOT allowed to rent them.

ALSO - IMHO, if RCI or the resort "figures" this out, your "rentors" will be shown the exit sign and you may have some problems with the rentors' ruin vacation and your former RCI membership account.

There is an article at the top of the Buying, Selling, Renting board called "How to rent your timeshare." That would be a good place for you to start.

Also, RCI prohibits renting exchanges, and if you get caught you can lose your membership, your deposits, and your exchanges. Posting your intention on a public BBS is a good way to get caught...

I use the free TUG TS Marketplace, Craigslist, and Redweek.com for my rentals. You never want to pay more than a small fee (less than $50) to advertise your TS's for rent. The companies that ask hundreds of dollars are usually rip-offs and have no intention of actually renting your TS, because they get their money from you up front.

That's correct---I should clarify that when I mean advertise points per thousand, what you are really offering is to make (and rent) a reservation for someone else with your points. You cannot transfer points to someone and have them control their own booking.

I'm not sure of the legality of booking a points week elsewhere and obtaining a guest certificate for a stranger.
Wyndham allows this---you can book time internally at any Wyndham resort and rent it, not just your home resort(s). But, as noted, you *can't* go through most 3rd party exchange companies, and you can't rent your RCI deposits in any way---I missed that part of your post.
