We leave on Saturday and were wondering what everyone's favorite places to eat are- breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We have been to:
Lenny's Deli
The Original Trailer Park
Peacock's
And a restaurant at Finisterra

Would love to hear from you!!!!
Thanks!
Beth

Salvatore's for good Italian (HUGE portions, though!!!!!)
Gordo Lele's for tacos

Beth - when you get back, be sure to post all the great places. We are going to the GM in Cabo the 1st 2 weeks of November and will be looking for places to go. :)

Try Tabasco's for breakfast or lunch. It is right in front of Club Cascadas on the beach.

Beth,

Did you check out the Mexico Links Sticky at the top of the Tug Mexico Forum?

If not, scroll down to see the Cabo San Lucas & Cabo San Jose restaurant recommendations.

Richard

If you haven't already checked, look at post #4 of the Mexico information thread at the top of the Mexico forum page.

Last August we tried La Golondrina for the first time. It was really good. It's near the City Club.

We also liked a little place called Gardenias for lunch. It was just a few blocks from the entrance to Pueblo Bonito Rose on a side street toward town. Here's a review from Tripadvisor.

We want to locate Gordo Le Le on our next trip.

I forgot one of my all-time favorite places: Senor Sweets. The new location is open next to the Harley Davidson store on the marina by the entrance to the mall.

With all the above suggestions, maybe this will help - if you don't have it already. It's a great map for getting your bearings around Los Cabos - and finding all those neat little places people talk about (but I have the hardest time finding on my own!).

Great map! I've added a link to it in the Mexico sticky info at the top of the Mexico forum page. Thanks for posting that.

Las Palmas on Mendano Beach in the evening is one of our favorites. We like Las Palmas better than the Office.

Places to eat in Cabo

Go to www.tripadvisor.com and go to the Mexico Forum and then pick baja
and do a search for Trappers list. Many great places listed and the price range is noted by $$$$

so many places to eat, so little time

In San Jose I highly recommend El Chilar, Damianas, and Voila for dinner. For breakfast, lunch or dinner The Tropicana and Jazmines were both good choices. In Cabo places highly recommended are La Fonda, Pancho's, Puerto Vieja, Villa Serena, Lorenzillo's $$$ and Peacocks $$$. For breakfast we did the buffet at Villa Del Palmar and Arco which were not good values. Tobasco was nothing special for us as we prefered Lenny's better. Mango Deck is ok for breakfast as was The Sand Bar. Our favorite breakfast spot was Baja Cantina on Medano Beach. I wished we had tried Mama's but was to far from where we stayed. Senior Sweets is the place for gelatto and other treats.
Restaurants we tried that were good but not our favs were La Golondrina $$$, Original Park $$$, Mi Casa, Ole Ole for apps, La Casa Del Pozo, and La Casa Country. We were dissapointed at Sunset de Mona Lisa $$$, you pay for the view as the food didn't meet the price and my wife didn't care for the menu.

Go to http://www.loscabosguide.com/discount.htm to get vouchers for many of the restaurants mentioned and save $$ on your meals and activities. You will save 35% by getting the vouchers, i.e., you buy $100 worth of vouchers for $65. They come in different denominations and you are better getting $100 in possibly one $50, two 20's and one $10 since they do not give change at the restaurants. The vouchers are in US $$ so ddepending in the exchange rate given at the restaurant the discount may not be the full 35% but most of the ones we went to gave a decent exchange rate. We did it on our last trip and it was great. Any unused vouchers are returnable for a refund. If there is a restuarant you want that you don't see on the list, let them know as the choices change all the time.
Call them on the phone and have them delivered to your home before you leave as it is more difficult to get them once in Cabo. They are very helpful.
Have a great trip!

I agree the vouchers are a must have. The company is easy to deal with and only had an issue with using them once out of 25 restaurants I've used them at.

Restaurants in San Jose

A fewI would like to mention in San Jose. Apolstolis is great for fish and paella and La Bodega is good for steaks. Tropicana is great for Sunday Brunch.

Beth - did you find any new good places in Cabo San Jose? We will be at the Grand Mayan the first two weeks in November and would like to know some good places in the area. We have just started our research.

Thanks!

We had a great meal at the Tropicana Inn in San Jose del Cabo in August.

For the best steak in Cabo (and likely one of the best you'll ever have the pleasure of eating), try Patagonia's. It's a little off the beaten track and don't let the plastic chairs throw you off, but the food is fantastic and about one-third of what you'll pay at the upscale spots downtown.

We liked Villa Serena and La Fonda.

For a really nice dinner try La Planga in San Jose del Cabo (its close to the Grand Mayan)

In Cabo san Lucas, we like Pancho's - not expensive, good authentic Mexican food...
