Berkshires Help

We have the following two options:

1. Vacation Village, One bedroom, B unit 8/29 - 9/5
2. Vacation Village, One bedroom, A unit 9/5 - 9/11

Labor Day is 9/7. Does the area shut down after Labor Day?

Would it be better to take the smaller unit and be there prior to Labor Day, or does it not really matter and we are better off taking the larger unit, actually being there on Labor Day and the few days thereafter.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

What do ya wanna do???

There are lots of sightseeing places in the Berkshires that are opened well into the fall and even later. Most shops, restaurants, sites to visit will be open at that time of year. No worries.

Resorts: Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, VT. Vistana Beach Club, Jensen Beach, FL. Mountainside Resort, Stowe, VT.
I would definitely pick the larger unit after Labor Day --then you won't have to fight the kids for the pool and hot tub. We were there several years ago in August and only used the pool once and the hot tub once. Too noisy and crowded.
Also don't need to hear the teenagers talk about their single parents dates in the hot tub.

Resorts: Sheraton Vistana Villages two weeks Vacation Village in the BERKSHIRES
We own at Vacation village and really love the resort. I agree go over Labor day weekend, and stay in the larger unit. There is a big difference in the A and B side. The larger unit is so much larger and nicer. Have a great vacation.

Thanks for all for the input. We have decided to go with the later week and the larger unit. If anyone has any suggestions with respect to a call to the resort about a week ahead of time regarding which building/unit to request please PM me. Thanks.

If you want to experience the many famous cultural events--Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow dance company, Williamstown and other live theatre venues-- they are usually closed after Labor Day.

Do some research and see if any of the above would be on your To Do list. If so, the earlier week would be better.
