I have 2950 CUP about to expire in 2 days. Based in Pacific Northwest, I have no desire to fly to any Hyatt Resident properties in the next 10 months. I can just transfer them to EEE, but don't want to because a.I have unused points in II. b. we didn't like the properties listed in II. Previously we have transferred CUP to world of Hyatt points, but was told that's not the most efficient way to use CUP points, plus I've racked up tons of WOH points by using the credit card.

I thought about booking properties in CA for road trip, but with my wife being pregnant and having adopted a new dog, don't think that's good travel plan.

I am sorry that you are in that position.

You can book anything that is available in inventory within Hyatt for the next couple of days. Sometimes there can be availability as much as a year out.

Another option would be to book something far out in Interval International and pay EPlus. That way you could change your reservation to something else that comes available within Interval International and swap to that. You have passed the deadline to deposit into interval, but you can make a booking that will use your CUP points.

You could let your points go to LCUP, which means that you would have 6 months to make any reservations that is in 60 days or less. That's not ideal, but some decent opportunities can become available.
