That sounds very similar the the relatively new treatment I was given after chemo for my HER2+ (triple positive) breast cancer. I was put on Herceptin (trastuzumab) which was given via IV every 3 weeks for 1 year (Apr. 2022>2023). The Herceptin stopped any remaining cancerous or precancerous cells that may have been left anywhere in my body after chemo and rendered them unable to attach to a cell or to grow and divide.
Thankfully the Herceptin didn't have nearly the side effects of the chemo and I was able to resume my daily pre-cancer life except for needing to fly back home (to Toronto) every 3 weeks for 2 days all last winter for treatments (for a fraction of the cost of getting them in Florida or Mexico). As with all of my cancer treatments, my only cost was getting to the RVH Cancer Center near my home for the treatments.
