I came across an ebay auction for Shell vacation club points offered by CharityGroup. their starting bid is $99.00 and they want $1,714 MF reimbursement as closing costs (along with standard closing).

How does this work. Can I win a bid at $100.00 for 7k Shell points (and also pay reimbursement of $1,417 plus add'l MF when i consolidate my other points with Shell)? Hope i am making sense.

Does anyone have any experience buying via Ebay from a charity organization?

appreciate any advice and/or insight is appreciated.
Mimi

I think you have transposed some numbers in your post, but that's OK.

It depends upon how many points are owned, at what "Shell" resort, as to what the MF would be. And, it might be that the MF's are from more than one year. If it was disclosed that the MF's are in addition to the bid, and the closing costs, then you knew what the costs would be, and should have no problem with paying the costs.
