We grabbed a last minute week at Marriott Crystal Shores and was hoping for some suggestions for some good restaurants. We love to go out for breakfast and/or an early dinner. First time in this area and we leave in a few days so any suggestions on food or activities is welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I enjoyed an airboat tour through the Everglades. I think we went with Jungle Erv's.

We have been spending 1-2 weeks on Marco Island over the holidays for the last 8 years at the Surf Club and Charter Club (very close to Crystal Shores), and these are a few of our favorite restaurants, in no particular order:

Speakeasy for Italian
Cocomo's for seafood
Mango's Dockside Bistro
CJ's on the Bay
Capri Fish House (on Isle of Capri) for seafood, cool tiki hut right on the water
Joey's Pizza (our favorite pizza on the island)
Marco Brewery for a sports bar environment, good food and large beer selection
Pinchers (I know it is a chain, but we like it for a lunch and is across the street from Crystal Shores)
Salty Dog (close to Crystal Shores, good shrimp tacos, bar food, sports bar)
Little Bar in Goodland, absolute best place for stone crabs; not much to look at, but have always had good food there, seating on the water
Island Gypsy on Isle of Capri (a great place on a nice day for outdoor seating on the marina, onion rings to die for)
And for an ice cream treat, Sweet Annie's is the best on the island, better than Beebe's and worth the drive.

Although the Snook Inn is always a popular place, I have been underwhelmed by the food and it just isn't worth the wait to get a table there. Also have had bad experiences with Nacho Mama's.

I’ll keep this thread in mind. We are going to Eagles Nest in April.

Breakfast- Doreens , Hoots, Red Rooster.
Definitely check out some of the above mentioned restaurants on Isle of Capri and Goodland.
There is a good Italian Deli over by the Winn Dixi
If you are up for a nice Long Beach walk head north on the beach and go as far as you can during low tide. And bring your shelling bag!
One word of advice about Marco- make sure you are going the speed limit when you come over the bridge (they sit at the bottom) and don’t go more than 5MPH over the limit on the island- you will get a ticket!! (Used to live on Marco and now in Naples. My parents live on Marco during 7 months out of the year)
If you go bike riding just be very careful. So many shrubs its hard for drivers to see and many of them look left but not right when pulling out on Collier Blvd.

If it’s still there, the Sandbar has so many variations of fish. We gave ordered fingers and toes. A platter of fresh fish chunks

I would consider Island Gypsy (that I mentioned above) if it is a nice day for an open-air seating.

Thank you to everyone. We had a great stay at Marriott Crystal Shores, really like Marco Island. Had wonderful food at The Smith House, Snook Inn, CJ's on the Bay and really good ribs takeout from Michaelbob's. Lunch at Stonewalls was okay nothing exceptional and we tried Ciao Bella for Italian and two out of three dishes were good but husband did not like the chicken parm at all. Thanks again to all tuggers.
