Well the problem was mine! Never had restricted Staroptions before and I was about 7 days early for using them in the 60 day window! Still not happy they didn't have enough employees to answer the phones during the banking period because if they had been available to answer my questions I would have made different decisions than I was stuck with. I also find it unacceptable that I left messages and received no calls or emails back until AFTER my banking deadline had passed and it was approximately 10 days later. They DID finally call me but were unable to reverse much of anything. I ended up getting resort credit for 9000 points for an upcoming stay. I am okay with that. At least I only had 600 options that will be leftover.
I guess I should have come here for advice rather than trying to fumble my way through, lol. They still aren't the best. After getting it all worked out I received an email saying my resort credits had been canceled. Called them up again in a panic. They had accidentally pulled points I had banked instead of using my Restricted Staroptions. It was quickly corrected by them but I didn't know that. Oh well! At least I had a nice long conversation with one of the agents cross trained between Vistana & Marriott. He brought to my attention that 09/30/23 is the DEADLINE for exchanging Vistana points into Marriott points which I didn't know. I currently have 500 that I won during the Abound contest good through April 2025.
