I leave Sunday for a week at Kona Coast Resort on the Big Island. I expect a daily fee if we use air conditioning, and would like to know how much it is. And can anyone tell me the occupancy tax amount for a 1BR? Thank you!

We stayed there years ago during the summer. Never used the air conditioning so I don't know the fees. If no one answers you could contact the resort directly and ask them.

As I recall one bedroom about $7-8/day and two bedroom $10/day or so.

You can try without and see if ok. If you decide you need it go to office and get a key to turn on. We've stayed in June twice and October once and always got air. Units weren't built to take advantage of breezes.

RE: State Timeshare Tax: each resort is different: Sea Mountain and Sea Village are about $23 for the week and HGVC Kingsland is over $50 - for actually a smaller unit. I read that the fee is a % of the maintenance fees.
