Flat screen.
The stink has never bothered me. I don't smell anything when I kill them.

It only stinks if you crush it. I have never done it to find out.

O.K., I'll admit it --- I did. It's a faintly unpleasant smell, but one hard to liken to anything encountered in daily life.
I noticed that when the insect was crushed, a light blue substance was exuded. Maybe that's what stinks, I dunno.

I just spotted two stinkbugs inside my TV! They were walking across the screen.

Maybe trying to muscle their way into the awards season. "And the nominees for best supporting insects are..." :)

Just in case anyone might be interested: As a follow-up to Jim's discovery of a stink bug convention going on at his home, I ran across this article about the threat this bug presents to those of us in California agriculture. Ugh.

We get them continuously now, here in Virginia.

The smell is somewhat unique, but in Virginia, the agreed opinion is very universal:

They smell like cilantro....or, for those of you with a taste for lower-latitudes food, it's more like culantro.

I am finding several in the house every week. Usually at the juncture of the wall and ceiling. I swat them down with a fly swatter and flush them. Creeps me out.

We get then occasionally. It is a fairly mild smell and I do not find it unpleasant. Not an odor I enjoy either. It is usually said to smell like a bodily fluid not to be mentioned in polite company, but I will go with cilantro as close. My senses may have been biased by our local morning djs, Preston and Steve, who had a discussion of this smell before I had encountered one.

We had some stink bugs on our windows a few years ago. I sprayed sevin around the perimeter of our house and on the plants the next spring and haven't seen any bugs since.

Of course I'm now looking around to make sure a centipede isn't creeping up on me. Hard to do in the kitchen/ dining room where previous owner put fairly dark wood on the ceiling. Anything could be up there!

I will ask if DH is ok with me doing that with our dogs. He is pretty cautious about what he puts on the lawn with the dogs around.
