Hello, purchased earlier and the wife and I were feeling cold feet immediately. We came across this site very quickly. We purchased at Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, but for the Orange Lake Land Trust. The last page of the purchase agreement states "YOU MAY CANCEL THIS AGREEMENT WITHOUT PENALTY OR OBLIGATION WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS AFTER THE DATE YOU SIGN THIS AGREEMENT, NOT INCLUDING SUNDAY IF THAT IS THE FIFTH DAY, OR THE DATE YOU RECEIVE THE DISCLOSURE STATEMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 27-32-100, WHICHEVER OCCURS LATER. IF YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL, YOU MUST NOTIFY THE SELLER IN WIRING OF YOUR INTENT TO CANCEL BY SENDING NOTICE BY CERTIFIED MAIL, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED, OR BY ANOTHER VERIFIABLE MEANS, TO HOLIDAY INN CLUB VACATION INCORPORATE AT 9271 S. JOHN YOUNG PARKWAY, ORLANDO, FLORIDA 32819."

I'm seeing that other people sent the package back separately. Does anyone have any tips on where to find any ID information for the contract (as the suggested form letter has). I'd like to send out tomorrow to be sure we are within the 5 day (assuming because we purchased in SC, SC law applies) as opposed to Florida.

Any tips? Thanks

By ID information, do you mean the description of what you purchased? If so that should be somewhere in your paperwork (or the tablet if that's all you got). You can print out that page along with your signature page and write on them that you are exercising your legal right to rescind this contract. Keep a photocopy for your records. No need to get fancy, or include any explanations, but make sure whoever signed the purchase agreement also signs the cancellation letter. You can also include a note that the tablet or other promotional material will be returned under separate cover, then send it by cheapest means possible. Send the letter to the address specified and get a proof of delivery receipt. It is the mailing date that matters, not the delivery date.

While you wait for your refund do not answer any calls from Orange Lake or affiliates as it will likely be a sales person offering you a better deal or trying to convince you to cancel your cancellation.

Congratulations on finding TUG and saving yourself thousands. There is a count going on another thread of how much money people have saved by finding TUG and cancelling, if you would like to share the amount it can be added in.

Include the contact number. Make sure both you and your wife sign. Yes, SC law applies. How much would rescission save you?

Yeah, there was a number at the bottom of the documents, and I was able to find a page within that showed that this was the contract ID. As far as how much we're going to save, around $11,000.

Thanks everyone!
