Heading to WKV next week with kids and friends. Pulled a lot of info already off of here and other travel sites. Looking for some info and advice on the following:

Monday wine tasting in the owners lounge - worth it? good?

Renting cabanas - needed? hard to get? should i reserve in advance?

How is the kid's club?

Do they have grills to use and will it be just too crazy hot to even think about using them for dinner?

any other activities on the property we should take advantage of?

Thanks!

BBQ in 110+ temps? Well, certainly there will not be a wait for a grill!

Hi, I can answer a couple of your questions.
We were at WKV last July and went to the owners wine tasting.
I thought it was worth the cost. I think they were tasting maybe 3 whites and 3 reds and had a few appetizer bites they paired with the wines. They gave everyone a Reidel wine glass and you got to keep it to take with you at the end of the tasting. Nice touch, but a little tricky carrying it back on the plane.
They have a list of wines that they are selling to those attending the tasting, no pressure to buy, but you could buy bottles to take home. m
As for the grills, we did use them when we were there, but have to say it was HOT ano didn't have to wait in line to get one, but it was worth it to have a couple of great steaks on the grill and some grilled ahi tuna another night.
WKV is a great place, enjoy your vacation!

Bring sunscreen!!!

We stayed there last summer and it was hot. The kids enjoyed the kids activities available at the Villas. At times they were the only ones participating so it was light on attendance but the activities were enjoyed by the kids (primarily the youngest who was 10 at the time).

The kids also spent most of the time using the waterslide. Several hours a day were spent going up and down. Bought them their own tubes the first day and they used them all week.

Enjoy your visit.
