I spent a night at Club La Pension in New Orleans last week

Here are a few pictures

The place was recently renovated and they feature art from a local group of young artists..the YaYa's http://www.yayainc.com/ The chair hanging in the corner is their work

You can see Wyndhams La Belle Maison from the balcony

Club La Pension has no pool or hot tub, but the place is well located in the French Quarter, adjacent to Canal St.

I stayed there many years ago when Mr. John was still the developer and the place was self-managed.

The restaurant in the resort was fantastic. I think the chef's name was Duke.

Great location and how can you not have fun in N.O?

Ron, thanks for the pictures. We stayed there in 2012 and really enjoyed ourselves. The renovated rooms were beautiful. I have an exchange into La Belle Maison for St Paddy’s Day week. How does that timeshare compare to La Pension?

I didnt stay at La Belle Maison, but I did walk over there to look at it for myself.

*The locations are almost the same, one on one side of Canal, one one the other.
*La Belle Maison is a 140 unit building and Club La Pension is only 60 or so. LBM has a small pool and a hot tub, CLP has neither.
*Parking at LBM is $27 a day (I think) CLP is $35.
*LBM was built from scratch; a purpose built timeshare. The only thing left from the original building is the facade. CLP is a group of interconnected, very nicely renovated 1850's buildings.
*There are some full kitchens at LBM, most are partial kitchens, . CLP are all partial.
*Both buildings are in the city on very busy city streets. If you expect a quiet nights sleep, bring earplugs. or ask for one of the interior suites at LBM, they have no windows to the outside, only to the atrium

La Belle Maison photos some of these photos I took; some are taken from the Wyndham website

I love your balcony shot. I would love to stay at one or the other someday. So many places to go, I will have to move New Orleans up a bit on the list. It's such a charming area. I know we would want to go back again and again.

San Francisco is a must-do every year for me now. Rick and I both enjoy it, even all of the walking is fine with us. We understand his brother's love of the place. He was born there and died there. In the middle, he lived in Colorado only about 15 years. He left San Francisco as a toddler and returned as a 17-year-old. He lived a short time in Sierra Madre and hated it. SF was like a magnet for him.
