Being from Maine, I was a bit surprised that the first two posts on this thread involved two Maine resorts.

Another current TUG topic asks about favorite places to visit------"...coastal Maine" is mentioned by more than a couple of people.

It's pretty here in Maine (where I am)---with snow and icy trees----but not so much of a nice place to visit now---with low December temps!!!!

We are headed to Massanutten in August...one of the few times we've timeshared outside of New England. Really looking forward to it! And also counting days until February break at Attitash. We've spent a couple of long weekends there, but are excited to get to stay for a whole week! Anticipation is half the fun of vacation, isn't it?

I’m timesharing in Florida now even though coastal Maine is one of my favorite places to visit...May-September. I live South Carolina and appreciate the cooler weather in Maine when it’s hot in South Carolina.

I find coastal Maine to have a little bit of everything I want, one of my favorite timeshares, natural beauty, quaintness, great gluten free establishments in abundance, beaches, unique shops are just a few.

Aww...you just need warm clothes, good boots, and the right attitude. Maine is great anytime of year! ;) Greetings from another Mainer!

We have two new places where we've never been before and two favorites where we've been many times.

We're headed to Cancun in January. After the Caribbean got wiped out this past Summer, we had to make a change in plans. We were headed to St. Marteen for 10 days (first time, except for a short cruise stop). Never been to Cancun before. I haven't set up any tours yet; but researching here on TUG, I've got some ideas on how to spend a week away from the winter cold in this yet-unexplored area.

Headed to the Outer Banks in March for the annual OBX Taste of the Beach. It's a fun four-day event. There will be over 60 events to participate in (Chowder Cook-Off, Wine Dinners, Craft Beer Brewery Tours, Winery Events, and many other interesting events to attend). We picked up a real cheap RCI Extra Vacation in one of the 3BR units at Beachwoods. Any time is a great time to be on the Outer Banks! But the events give us an opportunity to visit and partake in many of the restaurants' fun and tasty offerings.

Our big trip will be 10 days in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. We've never been to this area of the Rockies, but these two areas have so much to see and do that interest us that it's going to be jam-packed from start to finish. We'll be in Santa Fe for the annual International Folk Art Market. Luanne was kind enough to share a bunch of information on great restaurants and fun and exciting places to see and explore.

The last week of August we head to Hilton Head. We haven't been there in five years and are well overdue. It's a place where we've been many times over the years in different timeshare accommodations. I saw a week setting online during a time frame that I love, staying in accommodations that made us very, very happy the one time that we stayed there previously. Kingston Cove is a small group of free-standing 3BR cottages in Shipyard Plantation. Half the units set on a lagoon and the other half overlook the golf course. We previously stayed in a unit overlooking the lagoon. The unit this time will also overlook the lagoon. There's a screened porch to sit on and enjoy the lagoon and all it's wildlife. It's a short bike ride to a great beach and we will have access to all those wonderful bike trails to enjoy! The last time that we stayed in Hilton Head during week 34 was wonderful. It wasn't crowded like the peak Summer months and the weather was perfect!

I would have to say that the New Mexico and Hilton Head trips are the two that I am most looking forward to; however, the other two are close seconds.

Lodge By the Blue in Breckenridge in August - 10k feet up in the air should be invigorating even in the midst of summer!

Checking in to Arroyo Robles in Sedona today for my “will you still need me” birthday week. I got it as a cash rental through RCI.

Tradewinds sounds wonderful, we are doing Alaska.

Looking forward to 2 weeks at Waikoloa on May.

Try to go to Taos while you are in the area, beautiful area!

We have three exchanges booked so far for 2018:

Carmel in March through Hyatts internal trading system
Park City at Marriott Mountainside in early July, this was an II exchange
Tahoe in early September, also booked through Hyatts internal trading system

Which are we looking most forward to? Hmm, probably Park City, we'll be making a long trip of it, hitting up Southern Utah for a few days and then heading on to Colorado for a bit. Lots of mountain biking!!!

We have 2 exchanges, one I just got yesterday.
I'm most looking forward to our Dublin Ireland exchange in May. Got that one quite awhile ago. Coincidentally will be going to London during the time Prince Harry and Megan M get married :)

The 2nd exchange is for Scottsdale during Christmas week; a bit surprised to see it in RCI. Arizona isn't most people's first pick for the holidays, but it's warmer than where we are now.

We have two weeks on Maui in March, and then one week in San Diego in April. Of the two I'm more excited about Maui.

We'll also be going to Quebec City, Montreal and NYC in the Fall, but not through trades. Very excited about that trip.
We usually stay away from big cities but really enjoyed spending 4 days each in Quebec City and in NY we stayed in Brooklyn (Best Western). We stayed in a timeshare just outside Quebec City. Easily could have spent a week plus more in either area. It was the first time in each.
Maui and San Diego we have stayed many, many times as Maui is our favorite and we own at Lawrence Welk in the Villas which we bought because it is my all time favorite.

We are most looking forward to our stay in Barbados. We scored an exchange in to Ocean 2 Resort & Residences. We have only been to Barbados once on a cruise stop. Looking forward to having more time to explore with a land based stay. Our flights are booked and rental car is reserved.

We are looking forward to return visits to Williamsburg and Hilton Head this year. Not glamorous or new but definitely old favorites and it's been several years since our last visits. Definitely looking forward to these! :whooopie:

We are in Jackson Hole now for New Years Have some decent trades to Las Vegas, Sanibel and Longboat Key coming up this year, but the two we are most looking forward to are in New Orleans over St. Paddy’s Day and Halloween.
