WARNING:: I got scammed from someone name Paul Wilson (Paulwilly326@gmail.com) , he sent me an email and said "My name is Paul Wilson, Live in Florida. (754) 217-7121 I am disabled" , he is the owner of a Waikiki condo. ( I did not know that someone who is not a member of TUG can send you an email message, I thought he is a member of TUG )
he gave me the email of previous renter Matt Fischer (mattfischer444@gmail.com), Matt said his family of 4 rented from Paul last summer with the booking process of sending Paul's property manager , and got the booking number to checkin.
I talked to Paul Wilson, he gave me $200 discount.
I sent the deposit $500 to the property manager , here is the info
Bank name Citizens bank
Name: wale
Surname: david
Checking # 6310048671
Routine# 036076150....
Bank address: 543 oak avenue Glenolden PA..
Address: 521 south 4TH Street Darby PA 19023

After Paul received the deposit , I got the confirmation from booking.com like this:
Wale David has made a reservation for you through Booking.com. Please print this confirmation and show it upon check-in.
Booked by Wale David (peterwilliams201456@gmail.com)‎
License number: W68948556-01
And Paul sent me an email of the reservation confirmation number.
Confirmation Number: 2084xxxx
PIN code: xxxx
I then sent Wale David the rest of the payment , after that I could not get in touch with Paul Wilson, he did not reply to my email, could not leave message to his phone. I called the resort , the resort said the booking by Wale David has been cancelled ! I found the way to log in using the confirmation number & PIN code Paul Wilson gave to me has been cancelled by Wale David !!

Now I have to find a place to stay at the last minute.

It is very embarrassing to tell everyone, I should have more careful, but I am saying here to warn everyone not get scammed foolishly like me.

Is anyone know how can I report it to the authorities ?

oh no..we are so sorry you got scammed, but so many red flags in that story :(

payment request via wire transfer to a 3rd party should have been an instant sign to run away screaming!

neither of these emails are TUG members, and anyone can contact you thru your ad.

we also have the timeshare verification article linked all over the marketplace on rental ads, and within marketplace email messages!

Here it is again for reference:

Did you google the routing number to see where the bank is actually located? If it's located in the US, you can call the police department in that city, and see if they will let you file a report.

I googled it for you - I would call the police Dept. in this city:

Bank Routing Number 036076150, Citizens Bank
FedACH Routing

I got an Atlanta address when I googled it - see above.

What kind of license number is it?

That is the Marriott resort's TAT tax number - it belongs to the resort, and it doesn't authorize an independent renter to do anything. It's used for collecting occupancy taxes. Probably most of the info he gave you was fraudulent.

But you know where you sent the money, so I'd start by calling the police department in that city.

they dont know your email address, they simply clicked the link to send you a message thru your ad. anyone can do this as all of the ads are open to the public, but no member info is displayed on the ads.

only when you respond to the message sending THEM a reply are they provided with your email address.
