I am hopeful that KBV owners and all other interested TUG participants (Tuggers) make good use of this forum. Besides providing communication infrastructure for committees yet to be started, this forum can be used to develop a greater sense of shared community among owners far and wide. There is also an opportunity for more engagement in governance including but not limited to elections for board of directors.
I was newly elected to the KBV BOD in May 2018. My campaign consisted primarily of an 11 page candidate position paper (https://www.tugbbs.com/forums/index...las-board-election.240675/page-5#post-2124393 ) and various posts in this TUG thread (https://www.tugbbs.com/forums/index...las-board-election.240675/page-3#post-2107216). Page 11 of that position paper included the following:
“If elected, my initial focus, subject to feedback from all owners, would be to pursue the elements described in this post on TUG (https://www.tugbbs.com/forums/index...ch-villas-board-election.240675/#post-1977358 ). The focus on governance improvements includes web enabling future BoD candidates to post position statements and dialog with each other and answer questions from other owners. The intent would be to have something resembling a candidates’ forum that all owners could pull information from when they want to know – most likely when they receive their paper ballots.”
This KBV Forum was authorized by the unanimous vote of all current board members. It is also fulfills statements 104 through 116 of post #18 (1977358) linked above. It is up to owners to fulfill statement 102: more owners log into the community website upon receiving their annual ballot than the prior year.
