My kids/grandkids are heading to Breckenridge Saturday for a week at Hyatt Main Street Station. They are looking for suggestions/ideas per skiing with the children, 7 years and younger. Can anyone help with information about daycare, ski schools for children, etc. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks in advance!!

Breckenridge has a kids ski school. It's about $200 per kid all day. The ski school, like most vail products, is pretty good.

There is a children's museum on Main Street just near the Hyatt.

Just on the border of Breckenridge is the Frisco Adventure Park which has a long 1200 ft tubing hill. Looks like lots of fun.

Thanks!! We are signing 4 of them up for at least 1 day ski school, at the base of Beaver Run I think. Yes, $200 day. I planned a couple of hours at the Library, that’s really nice. We are in Breck every summer, first time in ski season. We will definitely try the tubing run!!

Since they are old enough to ski, they will likely enjoy Crepes a la carte. It's cold but the thrill of watching the crepes being made live can be fun. My kids always enjoy the experience.

During the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships, 16 teams from around the world descend on Breckenridge, Colorado to hand-carve 20-ton blocks of snow into enormous, intricate works of art. Artists are only allowed to use hand tools, creativity and inspiration to bring their ideas to life. No power tools allowed! Teams sculpt countless hours across five days (totaling around 96 hours), resulting in a temporary outdoor art gallery in historic downtown Breckenridge!

This is and has always been a free event open to the general public.

Competition/ Sculpting Days: January 21-25, 2019

Viewing Days: January 25-30, 2019

I’ve read about this event for years. We will definitely take the kids to see these amazing ice sculptures!

If you sign up for kids and they are all around the same ages then you might want to look into a group lesson as we found this works out cheaper if you book for a whole day and if your party is bigger than three.
Also you can request an instructor and I would highly recommend Pacman(he has a long compicated name shortened to Pacman) who is excellent with children.

Thank you for the advice! We have a 7, a 5, and two 4 year olds. We will check that out.
