I have a guest who will be staying at BC in a few days.

I have the option of requesting a room number but, having never stayed there, I don't know what I should request.

The reservation is for a 1-bedroom Deluxe.

Should I request a specific room...? A specific tower...?

Any help would be appreciated to make their stay memorable.

Cheers!

I think it really depends on their needs and preferences. A couple of our favorites have been a room on the 3rd floor of tower 4, overlooking the pool which was awesome to be able to see our teens in the pool from our balcony. And then we've also enjoyed tower 1 and the calm over there...and if folks have small children tower 1 or 2 would be good with the play area. Personally I prefer a water view over an Epcot fireworks view. A water view in 4 or 5 will give you DHS fireworks view as well.

I always liked building 3, overlooking the lake.... a fireworks view, and close to the hotel and all it has to offer, ..

anything water view of tower 4, 5, or 6 will give you studio's fireworks which is really good right now and with star wars coming online in the fall will be better I understand.

Epcot fireworks is about to be blocked by the new tower going up on disney property unless you are really high on the end of tower 4 - from what I can observe.

We stay there 3-5 times a year and prefer tower 6 and 3 water view and they've never denied our request. Mark the room box with T6water and they will get it and call 1 week in advance and ask to speak with a guest services manager or room control.

I have stayed at BC many times, and have booked for guests on several occasions. As a VIP Platinum owner I can request a specific room, but only when I am the one checking into the room. If a guest is the one checking into the unit, BC will no longer honor the request and will place them in another unit at random. Other Wyn resorts may be more flexible, but BC is not. The explanation given to me by BC rep: VIP Gold/Platinum members staying in the room should rate above guests and renters.

With that said, it wouldn't hurt to put in a room request by calling BC a few days prior to their arrival. And, when your guests arrive, they can ask if their assigned unit faces the lake and/or fireworks. If not, then they can ask if one is available. Sometimes they are willing to accommodate the guest's request.

Grand Desert doesn't seem to ever honor my advance room requests, even when I'm the one checking in. If you're ever lucky enough to get a 4Br Presidential at GD, you'll be assigned a pool / airport view over the Strip view. There's one or two 4Br Pres at GD that face the Strip, I've only been a "visitor' in the one they show to the presentation participants or that they've hosted the late afternoon social events in.
