We just attended an owner's update at WKV and were told they no longer sell Explorer Packages.

Is this accurate?

Only somewhat related, but how hard do they push you to attend the owner's update at WKV? We are staying for the first time as owners in a few weeks and I don't have much of a desire to attend one.

Unless you prepaid for a "package," I do not believe you are required to attend a presentation.

Unless you need some help from the concierge for local activities just bypass them and you won't get pressured at all, don't visit them just to get the 'gift' they claim is waiting for you, it's just a cheap Westin carry bag. I did go through the update when I was at WKV in December and I was in and out in under 30 minutes, made sure the salesman knew upfront I wasn't interested in buying, easy $100.

It must depend on where you did the owners update. We attended our owners update at WKORV last month and were offered an 'Encore' package which was similar to the Explorer packages offered in the past. We bought the Encore package, which is 5 nights in a one bedroom Nanea in the next 2 years and 100k Bonvoy points (given at the next presentation) for $1495+99. The $1495 can be used against a future developer purchase. FYI, The package started as 5 nights in a studio, but the rep mentioned Nanea might also be available. When we went back for the package on the last day of our trip, the rep confirmed Nanea 1 bedroom, and that is exactly what is shown in the docusign document.
