I have a renter for my Marriott timeshare weeks.

- Do I go to Marriott.com to change to the renter's name?

- Do I keep my email information on the week in Marriott.com?

Or
- Do I need to call MVC to add the renter's name?

- Do I keep my email information, which I assume is yes...?

Thank you very much!

Hello. When I rent an MVCI unit, I call MVCI. I do not work with Marriott.com. you really can't do this online, but the MVCI agents are used to this and know how to deal with guests. Be sure to refer to the renters as guests and don't openly refer to the guests renting the unit. MVCI has fewet hang-ups about renting than do Vistana and HGVC, but it's never a good idea to flaunt the rental. You might want to keep your name as one of the names on the reservation, with your guest's name, to make dealing with any hiccups later on easier. I usually give the guest's email address, but you could keep yours as well. You then will be the go-between with your guest and MVCI. Good luck!

Thank you very much for the information. From my memory, I think someone said that when they changed a reservation to a guest's name, their email address for the entire account got changed. Am I wrong?

... and where do I print out the reservation information for the renter to see that their name is on the reservation?

Thanks again.

That's never happened to me. I've done both keeping my email and putting the guest's email. Just be clear with the agent. Most are very competent and helpful.

Thank you. Where can I print out from the system to show the guest's name?

... in other words, what sort of proof that the reservations have been made in the name of the renter that I can forward on to them? Thanks.

I am back asking for hlep. :) I called MVC today and added the name of the guest and removed my name and MR# for the 2 weeks. Agent sent the emails to me with the the guest name which I forwarded to the renter. When I tried to pull up the reservation information with the confirmation number, guest name and check in date, nothing shows up. It also does not show up with my information in MVC and Marriott.com since my name is no longer on it. Does it take a couple of days before the guest (renter) information to show up under search reservation? How does the renter verify besides getting the emails from me?
