Buying Resale HICV - Newbie Questions

I attended a sales presentation while vacationing in Orlando, and purchased 50,000 points for $7000.00. Not the worst deal in the world, but still terrible, from what I can find, compared to the resale market. I sent my letter to rescind today via certified mail.

The part I am sold on, is the idea of having the flexibility and ability to stay at some nicer properties, hopefully vacation more often, as well as perpetual ownership which I can will to my kids. So, I am looking at the resale market. I have some questions.

From what I have read, there are three properties within HICV that use floating or points based systems, that if I purchased resale, would either have a points value or be converted into points. Those resorts are:
  • Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Lake Geneva
  • Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Smoky Mountain Resort
  • Holiday Inn Club Vacations South Beach Resort
Is this correct? As an example, this ebay listing:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HICV-South...m3406d01a26:g:pbEAAOSwcY5ch9VM&frcectupt=true

Would this convert to points? How many?

I am trying to assess the true value the resale market has, and am nervous, because this is fairly confusing as compared to just renting days through a hotel, travel service, or airbnb.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You are correct about the 3 resorts. The week 40 your looking at. If its a two bedroom it would be 150,000 points.
