What is “Marriott Rental Program”?

i just closed on a purchase of a resale week at Aruba Surf Club and online one of the options under choice for usage for the week was “Marriott Rental Program”.... what is this?

Not sure how it works today but years ago when I owned Marriott Weeks you could give them your Week and they would rent it for you. Back then their commission was 20%. I think it is now 40%. I gave them my Sabal Palms Week to rent 3 or 4 times. They always successfully rented it for me and I always netted more than my MF...

I just submitted my Grande Vista gold 2BR week for rental, and they came back saying that they weren't taking any more rentals on that one. So, it's not automatic.

I used Florida club to get a week at Ocean Pointe and then rented that.

Years ago I called to see what I could get for a 3 bedroom Christmas week at Frenchman’s Cove. They offered me $700. It rented easily on Redweek for $5000.

I sent a request to rent one of my Desert Springs Villas I weeks before I booked a week and was told that they no longer had rental inventory, whatever that meant. I rented out my 2 weeks within a couple weeks of listing.
