How does your reservation read when you used a rewards package

We purchased a category 9 and 8 package prior to the August 18 or new redemption date. The hotels were attached by a Marriott rep, who we used for both of these packages. I questioned how they appeared in our reservations, but was told (actually) have it in writing, that they were done correctly. For those who have or will use these packages, what does it show on your reservation on your activity page?

When you go to "My trips", select that reservation and click on "view/modify", on the next screen that opens up, you should see at the top

This reservation has e-certificate(s).

Your Reward certificates will be sent to your hotel.

Further down below you should also see "Total for Stay". If you use a partial package, i.e. hotel portion of the travel package, you will see that the points shown is lower than a pure hotel certificate. I think it is something like 105K instead of 200K for a 5 night for the old Cat 9 category.

When it first was attached, it had the 105,000 points for total stay, and the Marriott rep put that in an e-mail. Somehow now, it shows 5,000 points. I have reported it and received a case number via e-mail, but have not heard a thing. Since we had that problem where they changed our points in Waikiki, quite concerned whoever gets back to us will make even more errors.

On my phone app, it says "e-certificate required prior to check-in". As others have said, I found no way to use my travel package or annual credit card certificate online. I had to call, and the operator confirmed you have to call. I don't remember that being mandatory before--thought it automatically applied a certificate.

Confusingly, "e-certificate required prior to check-in" doesn't mean it hasn't been. It just means what it says...not what it should say. But the whole integration/reclassification has been a total nightmare. I went through the same thing for a 5 night stay in January...never being certain if my reservation was 'real' since what the website reported regarding points and certificates bore little resemblance to what the phone reps saw. But all went well.

And yes, the 5 and 7 night packages need to be done over the phone. But the one night reward should automatically attach itself to a reservation (or at least give you a button to choose to do so). I last did this in November.

I just checked mine... I called and booked 5-nights using the travel package I purchased last July, which got reclassified to a category 1-4. It says "This reservation has e-certificates. Your rewards certificates will be sent to your hotel."

Under "Room Total Summary" it shows $5.00 for taxes and fees, and 10,000 points. If I expand that section it shows the first night free, the next 4 nights at 35,000 points each, then "Total points rate 10,000" and estimated taxes and fees $5.00. Lastly, under "Total for stay in hotel's currency 5.00 + 10,000 points".

So I looked at my upcoming 5 night reservations and it says the same thing as NboroGirl. But my January reservation said "e-certificate required prior to check-in" until the day I checked in. So I don't know what to tell you...
