As a brand-new owner at HBH that bought mostly to transfer into ski weeks (both with Hyatt and outside of it) I had expected that I would need to put my requests in the full 18 months out in the Hyatt system and see what happened once the 12 month HRPP would start hitting. Luckily I knew to keep checking back every day and found a full week this upcoming Jan at HMS in Breckenridge on the very day that my own HRPP started! Funny thing is that this week hadn't been showing in inventory and I had been considering a split week in early december or a spring week through II.

Customer service also was able to transfer all of the 2019 points into EEE only 2 days before they went into LCUP, granting me an exception as a new owner. That alone was a huge bonus that I was not expecting.

Can't wait to continue to learn the system and possibly expand the number of weeks I own. Looking forward to being involved in this community!

Great job, and welcome! You can learn a lot more about the Hyatt system by reviewing the Stickies, and there is a ton more that you can learn from the experienced owners on this forum. Hyatt is a relatively small system, with only 16 properties nationally. But the very high quality of the properties, the flexibility of use of the ownership through the CUP feature into other Hyatt locations, and the ability to generate extremely high trading value if you choose to deposit your points into II make it a very attractive timeshare ownership. I'm also glad to hear that the Marriott/Hyatt customer service team came through for you. What a nice way to get started. Welcome aboard!

I have my first Hyatt week into ROFR. I have been thinking of purchasing a Hyatt week for about 1-1.5 years not. I love the system but could not decide where I want a home resort. I like so many of their resorts but there isn’t one I will use regularly. So I finally decided to get a Diamond week 14 at Windward Point to spend springtime and Easter in Key West in the years I visit my home resort. It is close to Miami so I can visit family and friends too. Or maybe they will visit me. I then fretted our which unit too buy. I realized this is something I will use at most once per year and exchange or rent on my off years. After obsessing for a week, I narrowed it down to two units: 5111 (Oceanfront on 1st floor, but cars pass in front ) and 5632 (top floor, oceanview over resort). I chose 5111 because it was most cost effective was to get 2200 points and I ended up thinking I may like 1st floor with easy access to the walking trail and garage but also having an incredible nearly oceanfront view might be pretty great!

Customer service did the same for me last year as a new owner, making an exception to put points into EEE even though I was beyond the EEE deposit date.

Hope you enjoy your ownership. And be sure to read the stickies and the threads in this forum. Lots of good info here.
