My family is considering taking a long weekend vacation in Branson
Wyndham has several properties in Branson
Any preferred / recommended Wyndham resort?
Any one to avoid?

Seeking a low pace and hang out by the pool vacation

Thanks

I would avoid Wyndham Branson at the Falls. Other than one small pool it has no other amenities on the property. You would have to drive to either Mountain Vista or the Meadows (about a mile or two away) for any activities or access to the other pools and such.

Meadows and Mountain Vista are directly across the street from each other. You can use the amenities at either. Even though they are across the street I wouldn't consider it walk able from one to the other, you would be better off driving (I think they offer a shuttle service as well). Its up a pretty big hill and across a busy road with no crossing.

We stayed at the Meadows for a week and enjoyed it. We did go over to Mountain Vista to use their indoor pool because its larger than the one at Meadows and has an indoor hot tub. (Meadows does not have an indoor hot tub.) We visited in March so it was too cool to use the outdoor pools even though they were open.

Check-in for all 3 properties is at the Meadows. Meadows seemed to offer more activities than MV, but MV had some unique ones as well. We really liked the fire pit at MV- you can buy a smores kit from the desk for a couple bucks and make smores over the fire. Meadows had a bocce ball court (MV does not) that may daughter and wife and I enjoyed using quite a bit.

Meadows & Vista have the same points costs and room categories I believe. Falls is less and rightfully so given the smaller resort with less amenities compared to the other two.

Bottom line if I was going again I would be happy with either Meadows or Mountain Vista (Though I would likely pick MV all things considered since I stayed at Meadows last time). I would not stay at the Falls except as a last resort.

Branson is great. A lot of entertainment for all ages and many other things to do. Or you can hang out at the pool, but you can do the almost anywhere.

If you want to go to shows- go to the purple building. It has real half price tickets for most of the shows and without a required timeshare presentation! Most or all of the other discount ticket places are just fronts for the various timeshare outlets. Only go to the purple building! ( I got this tip from another Tugger before our trip and it was great!)

I have stayed at the Falls and at Mountain Vista.

The Falls has only a pool and you have to go DOWN several stories of deck steps to get to it. It is quiet. It is the fewest points. It was ok. I don't think that I'll stay again.

I LOVED Mountain Vista. It was a while ago, but they had water aerobics every day and other things to do. My unit was right outside of one of the two outdoor pools. It wasn't a rowdy place, but had a lot going on. The pools are awesome and they have an activity center. It was GREAT! Mt. Vista has beautiful grounds.

The Meadows is bigger and has things like Mini Golf. It also has pools but for some reason the aquatics classes are at Mt. Vista. I can't really say much about it as I was only there to check in to the other resorts and maybe for a sales meeting.

The Titanic museum is a must see in Branson.
