Just wondering how luggage is handled from inter island flight from Honolulu, when there is a bit of a layover in Honolulu before your flight out. Do they keep your luggage or make you pick it up and recheck it? The flights were booked separately.

In your case, you'll have to pick up and recheck since it's they have separate reservation numbers.

If booked on the same reservation number, they'll be checked all the way through for standard layover times.

Either way, when you check-in the morning of your flight you can verify with the agent. In your case, I'm fairly confident it'll be HNL, not your final destination.
