As an owner, how hard is it to rent out week 52 at Westin Princeville? Are you able to charge more than MFs?

View unit? If so definitely. Even a GV probably would. A week 52 and name brand tells me yes.

I don't think princeville was sold with views. Date stamp should give you better view.

This is what I see on Redweek - pretty lack luster compared to Maui rentals for the same week. You could definitely rent it, but a Maui holiday week would go for 30-50% more and have lower maintenance fees. So I wouldn't buy it unless I wanted to use it every year.

*You can rent a WKORV-N/S, 2 Bdm, Island View, Holiday week, for about $5,000.

Princeville Christmas Ads on Redweek:

12/21/19–12/28/19 7 $2,350 ($336/night) Island 0 1 4

12/22/19–12/29/19 NEW! 7 $3,900 ($557/night) Island 2 2 8

12/22/19–12/29/19 7 $3,500 ($500/night) Island 2 2 8 RENTED

Is there a list of these initialisms somewhere? Are they standardized or just used by those who are familiar with the listings on Tug/Redweek/etc. ?
Thanks in advance,
Francine

They are the standard abbreviations for Vistana resort names.

WKORV = Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas
WPORV = Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas

KPORV = a typo :D

I've seen several less than enthusiastic comments about Westin's Princeville resort, what's the beef ?
I know the location isn't the best but what else ?

In average years, Princeville gets over twice the amount of rainfall as Poipu. Plus, December on average is the wettest month.

Odds are that if you go during the holiday months, you will experience a fair amount of rain. I love Princeville, but most would find a drier place to visit, either South Kauai or another island.

As for less than enthusiastic comments, who knows. I dont think it is the resort quality itself. The fact that it is a voluntary resort hurts resale but that's another story.

It is a beautiful resort with fabulous views of the ocean. The drawbacks are that you are on a cliff and so beach access from the resort is difficult. And yes it rains more on that side of the island so you have to expect that. We enjoy our visits there and sit on the balcony and watch the storms when it rains and go to the beautiful beaches and go snorkeling when the sun is out. We are flexible but that is because we can visit Hawaii many times and so don’t have to do it all in one visit.
