We are considering buying a unit at the Sand Pebbles Resort in Southern California. Looking for info on hard costs and opinions on the resort and if it is worth picking up a cheap unit. See that there were a lot for sale in last tax auction—why is that

I have a studio unit here. I book a prime summer week 2 years in advance and get more than 40 TPU. We visited once and used the pool as a day privilege. It is a small but well run resort. There is no air conditioning. I was told they didn’t need it but the day we were there it was unseasonably hot and muggy and if I were staying I would have been uncomfortable. The taxes are billed separately. Maybe that is why there were available units at the auction. They have an internal resales department.
