I just received a $77 gift card to Walmart. It is from the class action settlement Farneth v. Walmart Stores. I did file and then forgot about it. The suit was because WM charged tax on the full price, even when people used coupons or BOGO. The initial estimate was $30 to $100 payback, so not as many people filed as could have. It beats a can of tuna!
I do not shop on Amazon unless at a gift registry (oh, the horror!), but I do shop at Walmart periodically. So this will certainly come in handy.

A lot of people hate on WalMart, but I have found I save BIG money when grocery shopping compared to regional supermarket Publix. Not to mention, their Grocery Pickup. Order it, then they bring it out to you (which parents love since they don't have to fight the "don't touch that" and/or "no we're not buying that"). But, like all retail stores, make absolutely sure the registers are working.

Do you believe you overpaid by $77?

I am quite certain that overall, Walmart took in a whole lot more money on its "mistake" than it had to pay out to settle the case.
