Sales package availability?

I put a deposit down for a sales package at the end of March with an caveat that I could book it up to 6/30/20. I called today and asked to book 10 mos out but was told that they only open up availability a week at a time and on Fridays around 11am EST. So I’d have to wait until Friday.

Was the lady on the phone blowing smoke? Or is this really how the sales package availability opens up? How does it work for the DC availability?

Yes, they tend to have separate release dates for the promotional package reservations. No direct experience with promos recently myself, but I think what you were told sounds about right.

In the DC, 13-month and 10-month points reservations usually open on Tuesdays, 12-month reservations on Fridays. Both at 9am eastern.

When I booked my Encore visit for Maui the rep said their weeks open at 10 months out. I was able to get a prime February week at that time, FWIW.

I did manage to call back on Friday and make a booking for a 2BR Villa at Ko Olina for next June (10 months out).

I think they thing was that you can't expect to call 10 months out to the day -- it might involve some weekly rounding.
