This is interesting they use the term “ select owners as this is a level of point ownership in MVC. It would make sense to attract that level given that is basically entry level into program. Select owners would have more room to grow their portfolio and have already shown an interest in owning. Is there a correlating SO value that equates to “ select”?

Select may be equivalent to 3* in VSN.

That makes sense. So there is a crossover of levels. What if you are 3* with VSN and a select owner in MVC?
It means nothing right now. There is no crossover.

I realize this is conjecture it seems thay are internally assigning 3* in VSN as a correlation to select owners in MVC as referenced by PDX post.

I should also add that they also base offerings on how busy the sales center is. So if they already had, what they considered, a lot of prime candidates signed up then they may not offer as good of an incentive. If they are running short on prospects, then they may offer more to get people through the door.

It is very interesting yesterday when I connected my iPad to Nanea WiFi and received a message to talk to concierge for 1500 Bonvoy points. I then went talk to another concierge gentleman seemed to be a cool guy, and he offered me 35000 points for 90 minutes presentation. He said I am the selected owner and this offer will end on 8/30, so I better sign up now. Now I’m even more confused, why the lady said no gift the other day and this guy said 35000 pts very next day?

Not surprising. You might even get a different offer at WKORV if you walk over there...

We recently stayed at another VSE resort and this was also there. I suspect it is system-wide and replaces that scratch card that you found in the villa that you had to take down to the concierge to see if you have "won instantly" and for the weekly points drawing. It's just another way to funnel people down to the concierge to give more opportunity to book appointments.

Just completed the presentation. In and out less than 60 minutes since we showed no interest at all with the 2 offers they presented. Both offers they want to take back our SVV mandatory weeks to exchange Westin Flex points, which I didn’t even pay much attention what are these and how much. I feel bad to say no, but I take the points.

Don't feel bad. I'm already 150 cookies, 30 cups of coffee and around 100,000 SPG points into 'payback' for the $35K we overpaid the developer. It's a long journey and the caffeine/calories might kill me but I intend getting there :)
