Okay, the title may be a little misleading. We didn't buy any Flex points or weeks but we did, for only the second time ever, bought an Encore package. If you watched my live stream from SVV on YouTube, you may already know this.

The guy selling them told us that when Vistana switched over to the Encore Packages after the takeover by Marriott, that they decreased the prices by 70%. Now the price we paid wasn't 30% of the old prices. Back when we took a tour last year, the price of the Explorer Package was about $1900, you got four nights and 100,000 Bonvoy Points. We paid $994 total after down payment and monthly payments. It seemed like a decent deal to help replenish out Bonvoy account points. We have paid more in MFs to convert our Marriott weeks to only 90,000 points a few years ago.

At what resorts can you use your Encore package?

We can only use it at Sheraton Vistana Villages and SHeraton Vistana Resort in Orlando. The package paperwork makes it look like the room we book would be in St Augustine, though I am not sure if that is the case.

I received similar offer of 5 nights Explorer package for 1 bedroom Nanea for $1899 with 100,000 Bonvoy pts. I declined because I really don't want to attend the presentation again.

Has anybody heard if they are limiting the amount of Encore packages you can buy in a lifetime like they did with the old Explorer packages? We were told no more than 3 per person per lifetime.
