Nanea sand-entry pool being refurbished

The Nanea sand-entry pool is currently closed and is being refurbished. They are doing work on the pumps and replacing the sand. I was unable to get an estimate on when the work would be completed.

this is bad news so soon after the opening of the resort. I hope it is not going to happen frequently.

Maybe the sand won’t hurt to walk on when they’ve swapped it.

So very news and closed already? They need to contact Disney's Beach Club to see how they keep their Stormalong Bay sand bottom pool going. That is hardly ever closed.

Unfortunately that sand doesn't look any more comfortable to stand or walk on. The sand was really painful and rocky.

I could not believe how it was not really sand, but little rocks. And they refurbished it with the same? That makes no sense!

I'm not an expert but it might have something to do with the filtration system not being able to cope with very fine sands?

those rocks sure do hurt the feet. i did not enjoy walking barefoot on that.

Is anyone at Nanea? I was curious on an update on the Pool Renovation. Lots of availability the week before Spring Break, which makes me think the pool isnt going to be done by there.

I thought it was completed back in the fall.

Yes, at Nanea now, pools all up and running. It's our first time here, loving everything about the property. The kitchen and especially the storage in the kitchen is a wonderful bonus.
