I bailed on Microsoft a couple of years ago and went with a ChromeBook which avoids all the Microsoft intrigue...

The problems seem to be hit-and-miss. My Lenovo PC updated with no ill effects a few days ago, and DW's Dell updated and promptly locked up. She took it to a tech who was able to reload an earlier version, and when it automatically updated again, it 'bricked'. She has it back now and tells me that it updated with no boo-boos.

I bought a Chromebook during the last Prime Day sale, and we've both had to use it while our PCs have been out of commission. The Chromebook is OK, but I haven't taken the time to find a driver for our wireless printer for Chrome, and some other issues that make it less than fully functional.

Windows 10..and the dreaded upgrade! 99% of the upgrades on my systems fail in some way. Video, audio, printer, restarting 5 or 6 times...dreadful experience..worse is when my expensive MSOFFICE license, computer based, is altered and either gone, or put in a cloud...then the brain-trust at the help line tries to charge me to fix their incompetence. And no matter what I select for upgrade options, time, warn...the pos just upgrades when ever including in the middle of a work day! Will I be changing OS next system replacement..YES!

I'm running an old computer (laptop) on the early release channel. No problems. Zero.

I'm running a brand new all-in-one (HP from Costco--fantastic system for $600) on the regular release channel--current as of yesterday/today. No problems. Zero.

Sorry for those who are having problems--change your channel or turn off auto-updates.
