MVC Due Dates?

Seeing as the MVC phone line says that they are to busy to answer right now and the chat window is spinning and did not see this when I quickly skimmed the FAQs...

As I am newer to using points (have used full week previously) and trying to keep my use/banked and elected all straight -- please confirm my understanding of due dates.
  • 3/31 - Bonvoy using Trust Points for current year
  • 6/30 - Banking current year into next/following year
  • 9/30 - Selection of points usage for next/following year
  • 12/31 - if I had elected traditional week (previous year), Bonvoy Points conversion
No wonder why the points are popular as far as getting somewhere with fewer points/night options, but also once you start using them it kind of sucks you into usage/bank/borrow rather than the traditional full weeks.
