I assume you mean in San Diego. WMTC has 3 in the San Diego area to include Mission Valley, Gaslight, and up by the Zoo. I believe Wyndham has one or two in downtown San Diego.

We have relatives in San Diego area and we always stay at Mission Valley. Nice, except for the sales people who even tried to sign us up for a presentation when I told them we were only there for a parent's funeral!

San Diego is pretty small so wherever you stay you won't be that far. Personally I don't care for the Mission Valley area.

We've stayed at WorldMark Mission Valley several times to go to Seaworld. It's quite convenient/easy to get there, as it's a pretty straight shot down the freeway.

I said earlier that I don't personally care for the Mission Valley area. Let me explain why. I have stayed in Mission Valley years ago on business. Unless it has changed it's a collection of hotels and other businesses. You can't really walk anywhere easily. We prefer to stay places where we can walk around and see things. In the San Diego area we've stayed in La Jolla, on Coronado at the Coronado Beach Resort and at the Worldmark Balboa Park. Mission Valley, to me, isn't San Diego.

This is all true. Worldmark Mission Valley is on a suburban freeway exit. The only things walkable are a wendys/Dennys. We've stayed there primarily to go to Seaworld/Zoo with little kids, so after we go for the day the day is done, and we come back and make supper and they go to bed. It's definitely not a "destination" in and of itself.

We have often combined it with a stay elsewhere (eg Carlsbad) to do other stuff.
