Comcast decided, without advance notice, to move Turner Classic Movies from its base package to its Sports Entertainment add-on package.

I'm already paying $$$$$ for a basic package and I certainly don't want to pay extra when there's only one channel in the package that I'd use. TCM shows movies that don't have commercials and aren't R rated. Is that too much to ask?

My wife called Comcast and selected disconnect service from the menu option to complain about losing TCM.

She ended up discontinuing Digital Preferred and taking the TMC package for a bout a $10 per month reduction.

Today I'm returning the rented cable box in our spare room for a further reduction. I can us the laptop to access Comcast and display it on the TV.

We like to record, then watch Noir Alley with Eddie Muller narrating. He is president of the Film Noir Foundation and provides many back stories related to the film and it's players.

The show is on about 12-12:15 AM EST. The website schedule shows Pacific time.

Cable companies and TS companies have something in common. They just do what they want to do and if their customers don't like it, tough...

You can also use a Roku with the Xfinity app access Comcast channels in another room.
