Is there any way to locate a list of all the restaurants that have received a certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor in a particular location in 2019 and 2018.

I ask because we are going to Cabo at the end of January, 2020. I started looking at restaurants in TripAdvisor. There are a number of restaurants that have received a "certificate of excellence" from TripAdvisor but I'm unable to locate a list of all Certificate of Excellence winners.

Thank you

I doubt it. The "Certificate of Excellence" is really nothing more than a branding and marketing effort to promote Trip Advisor . . . not the establishments receiving "the award."

You'll get a pretty full list with all their award dates, if you Google Cabo San Lucas Restaurants with Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.

As I'm sure you know, take Trip Advisor awards with a grain of salt.

I agree with others that the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence is meaningless.

You'll do better with the locally produced Trappers List

or even Yelp. I do find Yelp reviews slightly more trustworthy than Trip Advisors.

One thing to keep in mind looking over Yelp's reviews is that a listed "restaurant" might be a beach hut or even a tiny taco shack. Use the photos to determine if it is a roadside shack vs a sit down restaurant.

In Yelp, you can sort by location, cuisine type, budget, etc.

Honestly, tripadvisor has never steered me wrong. Yelp is the one I don't trust.
