I have terrible dry skin and eczema, my go to is Cetaphil cream. Not oily and really works well for me.

My friend got a terrible burn and the burn center used Palmer's, made from cocoa butter. It is lovely, very smooth and soothing--and smells like chocolate!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream, which is available in fragrance free. It comes in a tube and is thick and creamy. I learned about it from someone whose dermatologist had recommended it. Our cold temps and dry inside air really make my hands rough in the winter, to the point of having skin cracks along my nails and this cream works wonders.

I have stayed with Vaseline Intensive Care that has Vitamin E in it. Periodically I get stuff from dollar store, and so long as it has vitamin E in it, I get good results. Vit E was a tip from way back in high school, a gymnast told me that her hands got ripped up from uneven bars and Vit E healed them quickly.

I use Aveda Hand Relief cream. It's soothing, not oily, and the bonus for me is that it doesn't affect the fabric I work with. (If you're interested, their Foot Relief line is also wonderful!)

But still every couple of weeks I do a deep treatment overnight, slathering gobs of it and wearing a pair of white cotton gloves. (Same thing once a month with the foot cream and white cotton booties.) I call those nights my Formal Sleep. :)

I use any lotion, but at night I coat my hands in Bag Balm and use almond oil on my cuticles.

+1 for Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. My dd's dermatologist recommended it to her as she has eczema, which gets worse in the winter. I had been using it long before that. I also use O'Keefe's.

Here's one you've probably never heard of: DML Forte.

I have used many products, but have stuck with this since I first found it. No odor, excellent emollient, seems to "dry" quickly so that my fingers are not greasy or slippery. I don't buy anything else anymore.

It's harder to find in local stores. If you don't see it on the shelf, it is available online at Amazon and Walmart.

For cuticles and my nails I use Bliss Kiss and stalk amazon for the few times a year the multi-packs are discounted. They're in my pocketbook, in the car, in the kitchen cabinet, in my sewing room ... so easy and convenient anytime. My 3YO granddaughter loves "painting" her nails and mine!

Thanks for all the good suggestions! The little finger on my right hand seems to take the brunt of paper handling and I often end up with a bleeding knuckle when the weather gets extra dry.
