Headed to New Orleans in July for a physique competition I'm competing in and it sure would be nice to have a kitchen to prep some meals. My recent Move to VIP Silver came with a few Bonus Points and my original much larger Bonus Point Contract ends late 2020...that said I'm VIP Gold status until then.

I noticed I can request room numbers now (like all the cool kids). Not sure if this is honored or not but I'm booking multiple rooms for a few competitors and looking for suggestions for 1 Bedroom Suites. I appreciate anyone's time on this.

Straight from one of the files uploaded to a Wyndham Facebook group. If you don’t already know, parking is $26 a day plus tax.

Unit 304 is a nice one-bedroom unit with full kitchen and window that faces to front of the resort
Unit 512 is a nice one-bedroom unit
Units 807 & 907 are very spacious & attractive studio unit with a view of the river

I've stayed at La Belle several times. I've never had a bad one bedroom. Higher floor is nice. The Presidentals are absolutely gorgeous.
Try to stay away from studios unless they are part of 2 bedroom Lockoff. The studios only hv a queen size bed and some have a faux balcony that overlooks the atrium which. The French door leading out to it has blinds on it and the atrium lights stay on all night as do the hall lights. Bright like daytime in room.

I know this isn't room numbers, but Avenue Plaza has a pool and La Belle does not. New Orleans is insanely hot in the summer compared to Orlando. Unlike Florida, it doesn't rain much. Also, the Trolley isn't air conditioned. I personally wouldn't stay at La Belle over Avenue Plaza in July because of the pool issue. The Valet parking is also cheaper and really quick at Avenue Plaza.

Lastly, I loved how the American Horror Story house was a 5 min walk from the entrance of the resort. Lafayette no. 1 and Magazine Street were a short walk as well. You could see the entire Garden District from the rooftop deck. La Belle doesn't have a rooftop. During the cold months, I would prefer La Belle because the rooms are nicer and its walking distance to the French Quarter. But in July, it's too hot to be outside for long without a pool to cool off and enjoy.

As a general rule, a Wyndham resort should honor your unit number request if it is a unit you occupy. They may or may not honor a unit number request if a guest is occupying the unit.

This could be important at a beach resort that has oceanfront, ocean view (side view), and "city view" units. You may request an oceanfront unit number when you make the reservations but your guest may not get it when he/she checks in. If you listed it as an oceanfront unit with no qualifications, you will have an irate renter to deal with.

If you have a studio reserved try your best to stay away from the 11's like 611,311,etc. These are the rooms that have the faux balcony and OMG the light shines in from the hall like daylight.
I've read the La Belle is doing a remodel starting May 4. Right after Jazz Fest. Hope they do something about the blinds.
