Marriott Cypress Harbour - The Old Adjoining Golf Course Land Sold

Hello,

So, a maintenance man told me they finally sold the golf course which used to be a part of Cypress Harbour. I recall playing it 16 years ago. Curious if anyone knows who bought it (I know a developer did) and what they plan to do with it. I'm sure it was a nice boost on the balance sheet for MVCI.

Marriott sold it back i 2014. Announced in 2015 that they were building apartments. Wonder if this is a new sale or just old info?

It sold in early 2014! According to the Orlando Sentinal, the buyer was AG-RW Grande Pines LLCI.

I thought it has been under development for the past few years already. It is supposed to be a mixed use space, mostly apartments with some retail space.

We own at GV and note the changes each year. They've added a much-needed stop light in front to help manage the traffic on International Drive. Every year it looks like more has been done, but we haven't ventured into the old golf course area so I can't say for sure if they've done any actual building construction yet.

Confirming apartments have been built on old golf course. It appears that the vacant land on the left side of the resort has been cleared and appears something is going in soon.

Thanks for the updates. I should have researched TUG a little better before sending. It will be interesting to see what they put "right next to" Cypress Harbour.

One another note, I'm amazed at how much land is undeveloped in this area. I suspect Marriott/MVCI owned huge swaths and have just be slowly selling it off over the years.

Cypress Harbour is a nice one and they've a great job keeping it up. You can tell many people have poured their life into this place - makes a difference!
