The misinformation from Shell membership services is maddening

I just called Shell because our second week at Disney's Saratoga Springs has yet to show up at Disney. I confirmed it 9 days ago, so it should be in Disney's records by now. We need to get FP+ soon and we paid full price for the exchange.

So I called Shell to make sure the confirmation is still in my account because I cannot log into my Shell account at all. They have blocked me from logging in, which was supposed to be fixed by now and hasn't. Don't count on anyone doing anything at Shell.

Anyway, the guy that I talked to first said that RCI won't get the confirmation to Disney until 2 weeks at the most BEFORE the start date of the week, so I need to be patient and wait a few weeks. I said, "That is not true." And of course "incompetent boob" said, "Yes, it is true, ma'am, and you will not be able to do anything with Disney until 72 hours before, but you should call at least 48 hours before to add your guest names with Disney. That is what the confirmation says." Geez, then why do I have to pay $190? I get no benefits because I booked through Shell?

The incompetence of most Wyndham employees is beyond anything I experience with other companies. I will not count my wonderful WorldMark in that, nor would I include Presidential Villas in that, either, with their sweet and personal service. Great people at those two Wyndhams.

Don't even think you can get Shell to help you with anything because they just want to get you off of the phone. Case in point: I called one lady, we will call her "Do nothing number 1." "Do nothing number 1" is whom I called 11/26 because I couldn't get on my account, and she said it should be fixed by Sunday the 1st. Sunday the 1st, still not fixed. Today I call "Hopefully helpful" in owner care who said that no problem with my account, but that "Do nothing number 1" didn't notify the correct department to resolve the issue. "Try to log in on the weekend." So maybe "Hopefully helpful" will be on top of this and will get it done, but I am doubtful.

Just came from a Wyndham update at Oceanside. It seems that ALL access maintenance fees are going to triple with and added HOA fee of almost $3000 yearly due to Shell resorts being added to the access group. I’m selling. This is BS.

I think its probable the wyndham rep was lying to you to try and sell you something. If they were saying access is terrible I bet they wanted to sell you deeded points somewhere?

Wow, that sounds ridiculous. They obviously think we are all stupid, just because we bought timeshares. What does that make the salespeople? Scammers, that's what they are.

That, in a nutshell, is the worst thing about being a timeshare fan. I can handle others thinking it's dumb to buy into timeshares, no problem. The fact that the developers and managers don't feel a bit badly about devaluing our ownership, because THEY figure we're just a bunch of dunces because we own timeshare... That they can lie with impunity because we must all be simpletons... Oof, it's really, really frustrating.

They told me something similar, (Not because of Shell however, it was due to CWA, as they were trying to sell me deeded). I stopped him in the middle of his comment, and said, I am going to need to call bullshit. If Maint Fees go that high, How do you sell it to anyone?? Liars.
